Appointments

Consultations with doctors and nurses at the surgery are by appointment. If you wish to be seen by a specific doctor or have a preference for either a male or female doctor, please ask when you make an appointment. For continuity of care, it is helpful if you see the same doctor for any specific health episode.

Patients can pre-book up to one week in advance for routine GP appointments and up to three weeks in advance for nurse appointments.

Appointments on the day are for urgent medical problems only (unless there are un-booked routine appointments). Unfortunately, if the appointment is deemed to be non-urgent or complex, the doctor will ask you to re-book again into a normal appointment.

Telephone Access

If you feel the problem can be resolved on the telephone, we would welcome this. Telephone interruptions during surgery are upsetting both for doctors and patients and for this reason the receptionists have been asked not to disturb consultations with non-urgent telephone calls.

The receptionist will usually take your telephone number and ask the relevant doctor to return your call within the scope of their daily routine.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
